Yo Yo Yo, Blog Bdog here.
Long time, no see.
I’ve been working on a new website, although haphazardly.
I haven’t been making the progress I would like.
It’s so easy to do everything other than what really matters…writing.
It’s so easy to get caught up in all the accessory stuff.
So tonight, I’m starting something new.
I’m coming back to Blog Bdog to use it for its original intended purpose.
I’m going to come here and write.
Every day, if possible.
And its going to be raw.
Off the cuff.
Whatever’s on my mind.
The most important thing for me to do at this stage is to write.
But on my new site, I want everything to be too perfect.
I re-edit and re-edit and re-edit. I make sure I have a pic. Gotta do a snippet. Need to look at SEO. Just too much crap to worry about at this stage of the game.
So I’m coming back here to write.
Blog Bdog – My Virtual Playground.
Perfect.
I’ve been making some good life changes this year.
My weight is at the lowest its been in over 6 years. That’s all I have record of in my phone. But, I’m very happy to know that I’m at my lowest weight on record in over 6 years! My weight has been around 215 for many years now. It used to be 165 in the early years of our marriage (we’ve been married 26 years now). But this year, I’ve made it back into the 170s. Feels fantastic.
I hit my lowest this year on Saturday morning, October 14, 2017. It was the morning after my wife, Bobbi, and my oldest daughter, Shelby, got home from Uganda. They had been gone since Wednesday, October 4th. It about killed me. Shelby had been on mission trips in years past…to India the year before and Haiti the year before that, but Bobbi, my wife, had been by my side for 26 years. She had never been away from me for so long nor anywhere near this far. She was completely on the other side of the world, without me. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I do not like being apart from this girl!!!!! I much prefer to keep her by my side and us do everything TOGETHER!!!!! …like we’ve always done it!!!!!
So anyway, I had been slowly losing weight throughout the year; had been in the 180s for far too long. But when they left on this mission trip, I wanted to do everything I could to make a physical transformation. I ended up losing almost 14 pounds in 10 days. Took my weight from 189.0 on the morning of October 4th to 175.4 on the morning of October 14th. My mission accomplished.
Since then I’ve slacked off some, but have been able to mostly maintain. I’ve pretty much been staying between 178 and 180. This morning, I was at 184, but this is only temporarily elevated due to a large meal of Mexican the night before! I’ve seen it time and time again. I’m back on track today and will be back in the 170s in no time.
By the way, me, Bobbi, and Shelby are planning to lose weight between now and Thanksgiving. We have a Thanksgiving dinner on Wednesday night, November 22nd. Bobbi refocused her weight loss efforts yesterday and me and Shelb joined in today. I really want to get down to 170.
Well, I guess that’s it for now.
It’s Tuesday night, 10:19 pm, November 7, 2017.
My goal from here is to just SHOW UP!!!!! At least 5 days a week. Sundays are free.
The only way to get better at writing is to write.
So I plan to do it here, regularly, unedited, no bells and whistles.
But who knows what the future holds.
If I know me, and I do, I will eventually add everything else, lol.
But that’s not important right now.
What IS important is that I show up and write.
Until next time…
Stay focused. Stay classy.
